Hoda Al Khzaimi, Conference Advisor
Hoda A. Al Khzaimi is currently a research assistant professor at New York University Abu Dhabi and the Director of Center of Cyber Security in New York University Abu Dhabi. She served in different posts for research and development in Cyber Security and Cryptology for the past years. She headed the Department of Research and Development for Cyber Security and Cryptology in different national initiatives in the United Arab Emirates along with her associations to different security initiatives nationally and internationally.
Hadjer Benkraouda, Regional Lead, Red Team Competition
Hadjer received a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United Arab Emirates University and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from New York University. She serves as a Research Assistant in the Microprocessors Architecture Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi (MoMA Lab). Her current research interests include industrial control systems security and network security.

Michail Maniatakos, CSAW MENA Conference Lead
Michail (Mihalis) Maniatakos is the Director of the Modern Microprocessors Architectures (MoMA)Laboratory. His research interests include privacy-preserving computation, industrial control systems security, and 3D printing security. His research has been sponsored by Consolidated Edison, ONR, DARPA, and GlobalFoundries. He has authored several publications in IEEE/ACM transactions and conferences, holds patents on privacy-preserving data processing, and has served in the technical program committee for various conferences, including DAC, ICCAD, ICCD, and AsiaCCS. He was the Program co-Chair for VLSI-SoC 2017, and he has served as a guest editor for IEEE Design and Test and IEEE Embedded Systems Letters journals. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
Sumesh Manjunath Ramesh, Regional Chair, Applied Research Competition
Sumesh Manjunath Ramesh completed his Masters from IIIT Delhi, India in 2013 and worked for four years in an R&D organization in India before joining the PhD program in New York University in 2017. His research interest is in cryptography and lightweight primitives.
Esha Sarkar, Regional Co-lead, Embedded Security Challenge
Esha is a third year PhD candidate at NYU Tandon. Esha received her Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering Degree from National Institute of Technology, India, in 2012. Prior to joining NYU in 2016, she was Research and Development Engineer at Schneider Electric India, Bangalore. Her current research interests are in hardware security, security analysis of privacy-preserving computation, security of machine learning algorithms, machine learning for vulnerability discovery.
