CSAW US-Canada-NYU Tandon School of Engineering

Fei Chen, Challenge Lead

Fei Chen is currently a 3rd year of Ph.D. student working under Dr. Nikhil Gupta’s supervision in the mechanical and aerospace engineering department at NYU. She graduated with summa cum laude and received B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from New York University and Beijing Jiaotong University in 2015 (dual degree program). Her research focuses on cybersecurity in additive manufacturing (3D printing), where she has developed design based security strategies and product authentication methods.

Nikhil Gupta, Faculty Lead

Nikhil Gupta joined the NYU-School of Engineering faculty in 2004 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2010.

His research focuses on processing and structure property correlation for particulate composites and sandwich structures; modeling and development of multifunctional micro-and nano-composite materials; sensing damage and structural health-monitoring techniques including embedded sensors ultrasonic imaging; and biomaterials and bio-inspired materials.
